The New Age of Virtualization | Kubevirt's Role in Kubernetes
From The New Stack, a video on Kubevirt, which allows running VMs on Kubernetes. To be honest it does not say anything new, but if you do not know Kubevirt, it could be useful.

Cloud-native Integration Platform on Apache Camel
This is the weirdest thing I have ever seen, it uses Apache Camel, a Java integration tool, which is super weird, I would never use it in principle.
The advantages of large, long-running pull requests
Another controversial post from DHH. I often agree with him but long-running branches seem to bring only troubles and go against common practices (trunk-based development).

Rust in AWS Lambda: a magic ingredient to reduce cost and increase performance?
Rust seems production-ready on AWS Lambda and if you compare its performances over Python, you could save a lot of money.

Introduction to Dagger
I recently talked about Dagger but here is a clear video where you can see how you can use Dagger. I have been involved in helping developers with CI/CD and using CD for deploying infrastructure as code. My main complaint is that the development workflow of CI/CD is inexistent, most or all CI/CD tools are designed without a clear development (of the pipeline) workflow, for instance, it is not possible to create and run a pipeline locally and the upload it to Github, Gitlab or any other CI/CD tool, to test any change it, you have to commit, and that’s why I call it Commit-Driven-Development which is terrible. Dagger also supports different Ci/CD tools which is another big plus.

DNA Plc, part of Telenor Group and a leading Finnish communications service provider, has automated its new data centres using Juniper Networks® and NEC. They deployed an intent-based networking data centre fabric with Juniper’s automation software and high-performance hardware, combined with NEC's systems integration expertise. This infrastructure supports both business-to-business services and internal IT. It aims to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve user experiences. The deployment includes Juniper Apstra® for simplified, automated data centre operations and Juniper Networks™ QFX Series Switches for low latency, high-capacity networking.
For more information, you can read the full article on Juniper Networks' newsroom.
Juniper Apstra is a software platform designed for automating and simplifying data centre network operations. It enables intent-based networking, which allows network engineers to define desired outcomes, and the system automatically configures the network to meet those goals. Apstra provides a single, integrated system for managing network design, deployment, and operations across physical and virtual elements. It offers features like closed-loop assurance, simplified troubleshooting, and continuous validation, ensuring the network aligns with the specified intent and detects deviations. This results in reduced operational complexities and improved network reliability and performance.
The Juniper Networks™ QFX Series Switches are high-performance, high-density network switches primarily used in data centres. They are designed to meet the demands of today's most challenging enterprise and cloud environments. The QFX Series includes a range of models that provide varying levels of throughput, scalability, and features. These switches are known for their low latency, high capacity, and energy efficiency, making them suitable for high-speed data centre operations. They support advanced routing, switching, security, and automation capabilities, making them versatile for different network configurations and requirements.
